Predictive Programming? Gulf Oil Rig Explosion in “Knowing” Movie

May 10, 2010

More than a few people have noted the Illuminati symbolism in the film “Knowing” starring Nicholas Cage (see a run-down here).  But as the video below demonstrates, there may also be predictive programming in the film in regard to the recent oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico.

Coincidence? You decide.

I hope you’re not claiming that the film “Knowing” proves the Horizon oil rig explosion was intentional ;-). I don’t discount the possibility the explosion was something other than an accident, but as I wrote on another site, when you’re on the cutting edge of drilling technology in mile deep water Murphy’s Law can take effect with a vengeance.

It’s interesting to note when I posted on OpEdNews, a progressive site, that there were other possibilities other than gross negligence by BP or Halliburton because they didn’t install a remote acoustic cutoff switch; that there was a possibility of sabotage either by extremist environmentalists or even administration operatives in order get Obama to call for a permanent prohibition on offshore drilling, or that a foreign power might have decided to hurt our economy, again, without even mentioning minisubs or flying saucers; Leftists reacted with outrage.

As a matter of fact, one Leftist posited that Bush, Cheney, and other in their administration bogeymen should be tried and executed for not instituting laws requiring the acoustic shutoff switch. When I pointed out our laws still don’t require the device, that there were two other emergency shutoff devices which failed, and it was Congress’ responsibility to write laws and thus he’d have to also go after Reid, Pelosi, and Obama, he exploded. When I wrote that many Leftist Jacobins like him were bloodthirsty, his enablers came our of the woodwork.

Personally, I believe the cause was due to faulty and maybe shoddy equipment, poor maintenance, poor safety procedures, or a combination of them. Also, I believe the simplest and most common answers are the most likely. As I’ve mentioned, I’m not a conspiracy enthusiast, but as a former USAF security and safety officer I also look at the possibility of other scenarios. However, it would seem the Left finds considering alternative possibilities other than Big Oil/Bush/Cheney to be unacceptable.

But I’d like to ask you, do you think it possible someone could have paid one of the rig employees enough to get him to sabotage the rig despite the danger? Eleven people unfortunately lost their lives. I’ve even considered BP might have wanted to cause an incident in order to slow offshore production in order to drive up prices. Other than a hostile power, I doubt many would have wanted a major disaster, just enough of one to cause a scare to achieve their objectives, but then there’s the Law of Unintended Consequences which may well lead to a major ecological and economic disaster in addition to the aforementioned deaths.

I’m trying to avoid being a conspiracist but the more the Left screams that heads in BP, Halliburton, and the Bush administration must literally roll, the more I think something’s not Kosher in Denmark.
